1. Deep Dive Dubai, NAS Sports Complex, Dubai
Deep Dive Dubai is a unique free-diving centre ideal for those who are comfortable in the water. Deep Dive Dubai is 60.02m deep and took the Guinness World Record for the world’s deepest swimming pool for diving. Here, you can book a free-diving or scuba diving course guided by qualified experts to perfect your skills. The pool also features a magical ‘sunken city’ in the style of the lost city of Atlantis for divers to explore. The building is shaped like an oyster as a tribute to the region’s pearl-diving legacy.
2. Ski Dubai, Mall of The Emirates
Ski Dubai makes the chance to ski in the desert (and in a shopping mall) a reality. Catch the chairlift and then ski, snowboard, bobsled or take expert-led classes in your chosen winter sport. There are several other fun snowy activities to suit all ages like snowman building. There’s also an opportunity to meet the ski centre’s famous penguins or whizz down the frozen zip-line.
3. Green Planet, City Walk
Skip the desert heat and get tropical at the Green Planet bio-dome. Situated in City Walk Dubai, Green Planet offers guests of all ages a taste of the Amazon. Spread over four levels this living, breathing tropical rainforest hosts over 3000 species of plant and animal life. Tread between the trees and make your way up to the canopies while encountering toucans, turtles, sloths, and macaws on your way. 4. Museum Of The Future, Sheik Zayed Road
A new iconic landmark, Museum Of The Future is spread across seven floors and functions as an interactive exhibition space. The institution aims to give visitors a taste of what the future could be like exploring the next 50 years in the UAE and beyond. Inside visitors can encounter ground-breaking technology. Current exhibitions explore the future of space travel and life on earth including climate change, wellness, spirituality, and near-future technologies. 5. La Perle by Dragone, Dubai Creek
La Perle by Dragone is Dubai’s first permanent show and offers a captivating immersion into the spirit of the United Arab Emirates and its pearl diving heritage via a dynamic live choreographed performance. The show uses the latest technology combining impressive water, acrobatic and aerial stunts. La Perle by Dragone tells the story of a young girl who enters into a dream-like state and journeys across the UAE to discover a pearl. During her adventures, she is exposed to the diversity of the region.
6. iFly, City Centre Mirdif
iFly is one of the region’s first indoor skydiving centres. Under the centre’s expert supervision, put on your suit and protective eyewear and then step into a 10m tall double vertical glass wind tunnel. One for the adrenaline-lovers, guests fall forwards into the wind. Instructors guide guests into different moves depending on their ability and confidence including Insta-worthy flips. iFly is safe for all and invites guests as young as three years old to fly.
7. Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
Situated inside the Dubai Mall, the Dubai Mall Aquarium and Underwater Zoo is one of the biggest aquariums in the world. Discover over 140 species of marine life inside a glass walkway that reveals 270-degree views of rays, fish, and sharks. Discover the tank from above and take a glass-bottom boat ride while the brave can opt for a shark tank dive.
8. The Storm Coaster (Indoor Rollercoaster), Dubai Hills Mall
One for the thrill-seekers, this immersive indoor rollercoaster is themed around ‘storm chasing’ and offers a first-of-its-kind experience that features a vertical drop that plunges the rider into the heart of the storm! The Storm Coaster is situated inside the Dubai Hills Mall and makes its way around the entire building. Guests must be at least 130cm tall to ride.
9. Madame Tussauds, Bluewaters Island
Meet the stars or at least their wax counterparts at Madame Tussauds Dubai. Step inside and explore the seven themed rooms which include wax works of 60 international stars and 16 regional ones. Take a selfie with Kylie Jenner or Nancy Ajram! Madame Tussauds is located next to the Ain Dubai observation wheel and within walking distance of the Bluewaters retail, entertainment, and restaurant offerings.
10. Dubai Kartdrome, Dubai Autodrome
Dubai Kartdrome offers the thrill of the race track indoors. Put on your jumpsuit and helmet and enjoy the adrenaline rush. Those aged seven and above can race around a 620m indoor circuit which can fit up to 10 riders at once. Trained staff ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable race.
