KIGO Omakase has recently opened at Four Seasons Hotel DIFC, marking a highly anticipated addition to Dubai’s fine dining scene. Under the direction of celebrated chef Izu Ani, the restaurant brings Japan’s omakase and kaiseki traditions to life through an intimate counter-style experience where diners place their trust in the chefs for each course. As one of the most awaited restaurant openings of 2025, KIGO offers a refined and authentic taste of Japan at the heart of Dubai.

The culinary vision is led by head chef Akinori “Aki” Tanigawa, a kaiseki expert with over 30 years of experience, and sushi head chef Daihachiro Ebata, formerly of Kyoto’s esteemed Sushi Wakon. The menu at KIGO reflects the rhythm of the seasons, highlighting ingredients such as snow crab in winter and sweetfish in summer. The name KIGO, inspired by Japanese haiku poetry, captures the essence of fleeting moments in both flavor and presentation.

The 44-seat restaurant is designed around a meticulously handcrafted aji stone sushi counter, blending minimalism with artistic touches. A dry garden entrance and Rimpa-style artworks by Eiki Kimura set a tranquil tone. Guests can look forward to rare sake, Japanese teas, and carefully curated beverages paired with each course. With its commitment to seasonal ingredients, craftsmanship, and serene aesthetics, KIGO Omakase is set to redefine Japanese fine dining in Dubai.
