Dubai Fountain, one of the city’s most visited landmarks, has been closed since April for extensive redevelopment works. Emaar has officially announced that the fountain is expected to reopen on Wednesday, October 1, bringing with it a host of upgrades designed to elevate the overall experience. Enhancements include new flooring, improved water insulation, and advanced sound, lighting, and choreography systems.

The renovation required draining the 30-acre Burj Lake to install updated infrastructure beneath the surface. While the site may currently look unfamiliar, progress is well underway, and visitors can expect a transformed attraction upon reopening. High-tech additions such as robotic water and light controls are set to deliver more dynamic and immersive shows.

According to Emaar founder Mohamed Alabbar, the Dubai Fountain has long been a magnet for tourists and residents alike. With the latest improvements, it is expected to further enhance the vibrancy of the Downtown Dubai area. Emaar has also provided transitional support for surrounding tenants during the closure period.
