Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to become the UAE’s first casino resort, marking a major milestone in the region’s hospitality and entertainment industry. Located on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, the USD 3.9 billion (Dhs 14.32 billion) project will feature a 300-meter tower, 1,542 rooms and suites, and 22 private villas. With construction well underway, the highly anticipated resort is expected to open in early 2027.
The resort will introduce gaming to the UAE, with Wynn Resorts receiving the country’s first commercial gaming operator’s license from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). Alongside the casino, Wynn Al Marjan Island will offer a luxury shopping district, a five-star spa, a world-class theatre, and daily light and laser shows. With 22 dining and lounge experiences, the resort is expected to bring a high-end culinary scene, potentially featuring global brands from Wynn’s Las Vegas and Macau locations.
Leading the project is COO Tom Roelens, formerly of Atlantis Dubai, alongside President Max Tappeiner and EVP David Patent. Recent drone footage showcases the rapid progress on-site, bringing the ambitious development closer to reality. As Wynn Resorts’ first beachfront property, Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to redefine luxury hospitality in the UAE and attract visitors from around the world.
