SANA has recently opened at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, bringing 30 years of Uzbek culinary heritage to Dubai with a modern twist on the rich flavors and traditions of the Silk Road. Set to captivate guests from its September 2025 opening, the restaurant promises a unique dining experience, blending bold spices, cultural depth, and contemporary hospitality. As one of the city’s most eagerly awaited openings, SANA is set to offer a dining journey unlike any other.

Created by BIK Hospitality, the team behind Dubai favorites like Cutfish and African Queen, SANA draws inspiration from the renowned Restaurant Uzbekistan in Moscow. Led by Chef Glen Ballis, whose international experience spans Melbourne, Moscow, London, and Asia, the menu reimagines classic Uzbek dishes with modern Asian influences. Signature dishes will include slow-cooked Plov, wood-fired Shashlik, and traditional Somsa and Chebureki pastries, all designed for sharing.

The interiors of SANA pay sophisticated tribute to Uzbek heritage, with earthy tones, artisanal textures, and handcrafted elements throughout. The venue also features a hidden bar and event space named Moon, ideal for pre-dinner cocktails, as well as a floating terrace offering stunning views of Mina Al Salam’s serene waters. With its immersive design, exceptional cuisine, and storytelling approach, SANA is set to become a defining culinary landmark in Dubai for 2025.
