Dubai, known for its world-class dining scene, is preparing to welcome KEN by Kamatsuda, with its opening anticipated by the end of January 2025. Stay tuned for the official announcement. Located in The Dubai EDITION in Downtown Dubai, the restaurant will showcase Japan’s finest Wagyu beef and other exclusive ingredients. Owner and chef Ken Kamatsuda brings over 20 years of global culinary experience, connecting with Japanese producers to deliver a fusion of Japan’s rich culinary heritage and culture to Dubai.
KEN by Kamatsuda will feature rare ingredients such as Awa Wagyu Beef, known for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and sweet marbling, which will be served as either nigiri sushi or steak. Additionally, the menu includes Saga Red Uni, freshly imported from Japan, and an omakase experience priced at AED 5,000 per head. The restaurant is dedicated to offering a one-of-a-kind dining experience with ingredients that are exclusive to Dubai.
The design of KEN by Kamatsuda seamlessly blends traditional Japanese culture with contemporary aesthetics. The space features calligraphy by Bisen Aoyagi and ikebana by floral artist Ryota Hagiwara, with warm wooden elements and bonsai plants that evoke a sense of tranquility. This serene atmosphere offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling city, creating an immersive environment for diners.
