1. Downtown Dubai: Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Fountain, Boulevard

Located in Downtown Dubai, there are several record-breaking sights that are must-sees for tourists. Within walking distance of each other, you can visit the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, and then head to Dubai Mall, one of the world’s largest malls, to see the world’s tallest fountain, the Dubai Fountain. You can also check out the Dubai Opera, or visit Burj Park, which hosts many events, even though it is not as large as other parks in the city. Downtown Dubai is best experienced at night, when there are many attractions catering to night owls, such as Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, which is always lively and a great spot for a meal or coffee. There are also many high-end hotels and dining options for all budgets, as well as plenty of free activities to do, making Downtown Dubai one of the best and most cost-effective places to visit in Dubai.

2. Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah is an artificial island in Dubai known for its impressive size and shape, resembling a palm tree with a trunk, 16 fronds, and an 11 km surrounding crescent. It is home to a thriving community with villas, townhouses, and apartments, as well as many five-star hotels and plenty of shopping, entertainment, and dining options. The island’s main attraction is the Atlantis hotel, which has 1,539 rooms and pays tribute to an underwater kingdom. JBR is a stretch of a beach populated by atmospheric hotels from the Ritz to the Rixos and beach clubs like Tomoka and Bla Bla. There’s also family-friendly entertainment and dining options like Pavilion at The Beach.

Behind JBR is the Dubai Marina known for its skyscrapers that overlook the yachts. The Dubai Marina walk way beloved by joggers and cyclists curves around cafes and restaurants and leads to the Dubai Marina Mall and Pier 7, a chic tower with marina views and several dining concepts inside.

Across the pedestrian bridge from JBR is Bluewaters Island. Bluewaters comprises retail, restaurants.
