Dubai Municipality has introduced the first sandy equestrian track in Hatta, offering horse riders a new way to experience the area’s dramatic mountain scenery. The initial phase of the project spans 2.54 kilometres in length and three metres in width, creating a safe and scenic trail built to international standards. The launch reflects the city’s broader goal of enhancing Hatta’s appeal as a destination for outdoor activities.
The track is designed to welcome both amateur and professional riders, with options to hire horses on-site or bring their own. It provides a distinctive opportunity to enjoy horsemanship in a natural setting while ensuring rider and animal safety. The facility blends modern design with traditional equestrian values rooted in Emirati culture.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, noted that the track highlights the importance of preserving heritage while creating new tourism and economic opportunities. By expanding equestrian offerings, the project strengthens Hatta’s role as a hub for sport, leisure, and cultural identity. The initiative underscores Dubai’s commitment to positioning Hatta as one of the UAE’s most scenic and vibrant destinations.
