Dubai has announced plans to introduce the world’s first Gold Street as part of the new Dubai Gold District in Deira. The concept reinforces the emirate’s long-standing reputation as the “City of Gold,” anchored by the historic Dubai Gold Souk. The landmark attraction is designed to further position Dubai as a global hub for gold and jewellery.
The Gold Street will form a centrepiece within the purpose-built district, developed to create a dedicated “home of gold” in the city. Conceived as a distinctive tourism draw, the street aims to offer visitors an immersive retail experience. The announcement was made during the official launch of the Dubai Gold District by Ithra Dubai.
The wider development will host more than 1,000 retailers spanning gold, jewellery, perfumery, cosmetics and lifestyle brands. Confirmed names include Jawhara Jewellery, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, Al Romaizan and Tanishq Jewellery, while Joyalukkas plans a 24,000-square-foot flagship – its largest in the Middle East. The project marks a significant expansion of Dubai’s luxury retail landscape.
Location: Deira
