Dubai is known for its modern skyline and luxury attractions, but its rich cultural heritage is equally remarkable. This week, three of Dubai’s most significant heritage sites have been recognized among the city’s top tourist attractions. TripAdvisor has awarded the Travelers’ Choice Award to Al Shindagha Museum, Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, and Etihad Museum for their contribution to cultural tourism.

These sites have been praised for offering immersive experiences that allow visitors to explore Dubai’s history and traditions. Opened in March 2023, Al Shindagha Museum is the largest heritage museum in the UAE, featuring 22 pavilions across 80 restored houses that showcase Dubai’s transformation over the years. The Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, one of the city’s oldest areas, provides a glimpse into life in Dubai from the mid-19th century to the 1970s, with its wind towers, narrow alleyways, and restored courtyards.

The Etihad Museum, also honored with a Travelers’ Choice Award, documents the formation of the UAE from 1968 to 1974. Through exhibitions, educational programs, and interactive workshops, the museum highlights key moments in the country’s unification. For those looking to explore Dubai’s past and Emirati culture, these award-winning sites offer a fascinating journey through history.
