Dubai’s intense summer heat typically begins to ease as September comes to an end, with the autumn equinox marking the seasonal transition around September 23. However, the change does not bring an immediate drop in temperatures, and September can still feel particularly warm due to high humidity. Outdoor conditions generally remain hot throughout much of the month.
A more noticeable change usually arrives during October, when daytime temperatures gradually begin to fall and evenings become more comfortable. This is when Dubai starts moving into its popular outdoor season, with activities such as beach walks, park visits and alfresco dining becoming more appealing. Humidity levels can still vary, but conditions tend to improve as the month progresses.
By November, Dubai typically experiences significantly more comfortable weather, with cooler mornings, evenings and lower average temperatures. Temperatures generally begin rising again from May as the city moves towards the hotter summer months. While conditions can fluctuate from year to year, October and November usually mark the clearest transition into Dubai’s cooler season.
