InterContinental Dubai – The Heart of Europe is set to become the first luxury family resort on the islands when it opens in winter 2027. Designed by New York–based HWKN Architecture, the property brings Italian coastal elegance into a contemporary setting. The resort will offer nine Italian-inspired dining venues, a Snow Room spa, a 700-metre beach, and dedicated family areas including Kingdom of Portofino and La Donna, a ladies’ club and spa.
World Islands will see a major new arrival in late 2027 with the debut of InterContinental Dubai – The Heart of Europe. The resort will provide a refined escape just a short boat ride from the city, blending exclusivity with easy access. Its architecture stands out through a distinctive mesh “curtain” façade made of Teflon-coated fibreglass that moves with the wind for a striking visual effect.
HWKN Architecture has shaped interiors that merge Mediterranean ambience with contemporary luxury, using stone columns and soft, flowing textiles. The resort will house 466 rooms across three wings: Bellissima, Dolce Vita, and Felicita. Each space will offer expansive views of the sea, the pools, or the resort’s extensive beachfront.
