Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has introduced an AI-powered platform to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion across the city. The system, called Data Drive Clear Guide, analyses road conditions, speeds, and congestion in real time while comparing trends with data from the past five years. This technology allows the RTA to implement immediate changes and long-term improvements more efficiently than traditional manual reporting.
In parallel, Dubai has rolled out the region’s first fully autonomous, AI-powered parking solution. Through a partnership between Salik, Parkonic, and Dubai Holding, more than 36,000 on-street and off-street spaces can now be used without tickets, barriers, or manual checks. Payments are integrated into Salik’s platform, enabling a seamless cashless experience for drivers.
These initiatives are part of Dubai’s Smart City 2030 strategy and Future Mobility Vision. By combining real-time traffic management with advanced parking systems, the emirate aims to ease urban mobility, lower emissions, and strengthen its position as a global leader in digital innovation and sustainability.
